Westchester Ayyappa Swami Temple was built by a group of Indians who settled there. The presiding deity of this temple is Lord Ayyappa. They have constructed the temple by forming an organization and collected funds from various people. This is the place where all people attain peace.
World Ayyappa Seva Trust (WAST INC.), a non-profit public charity organization, was founded by honorable Guruswami Parthasaradhi Pillai in 1988. Today, WAST has evolved to become the largest Ayyappa devotee organization in the world only because of its utmost devotion, dedication, authentic style of poojas and Bhajans and un-matched charitable services. Over 30 years, Guruswami has been leading Lord Ayyappa bhajans across the nation, taking pilgrims from U.S to Sabarimala, conducting Karkkidaka vavu bali, Hindu Funeral services, Hindu Weddings and hosting Sapthahams. The most important WAST’s accomplishments include introduction of Lord Ayyappa Rituals, Mandala Pooja, Ramayayan and Bhagvatha chanting, Vishnu and Lalitha Sahsranamam and Makara Sankranthi.
Westchester Ayyappa Swami Temple, White Plains, NY: Balalaya Prathishta of Lord Ayyappa (Main Deity) along with Lords Ganesh and Hanuman was done on November 14 and November 15, 2015. As communicated in July 2015, this was the first step in WAST’s long cherished dream of building an Exclusive Lord Ayyappa Temple in North America, led by Guruswami Parthasaradhi Pillai. This was a dream come true, with divine and authentic rituals performed by expert priests from the tristate temples. Devotees had the opportunity to sponsor many rare poojas in connection with the Balalaya Prathishta.
It was once in a life time opportunity to be part of such a divine project and we are truly blessed to have this dream come true before this year Mandala pooja.
With the blessing of Lord Ayyappa and the devotion and hard work of WAST temple committee leaders and Ayyappa devotees in Tristate and in Kerala, the Panchaloha Idols of all three deities were made in Mannar, Kerala. The idols were blessed by Sabarimala Tantri Kandararu Rajeevar, Suryan Subramanian Bhatathirippad and by major temple priests such as Arummala Parthasaradhy, Sree Padmanabha TVM, Attukal, TVM, Sree Subramanian, Kollam and Sree Dharmasastha Mavelikkara. We thank all Ayyappa devotees for supporting this genuine and spiritual need of our community and for participaing in all to the Prathishta Rituals on November 14 and 15, 2015.
