A multi million dollar religious cum cultural center for Indian Americans in Ijamsville, MD, Sri Bhaktha Anjaneya Temple (SBAT), is nearing completion and if all goes as per schedule, it will be formally consecrated on August 31.
The near $8 million center sprawling on a 43-acre lot will have a built up area of 5200 sq ft and will house a towering 36 ft Anjaneya -Maruti idol besides other Hindu deities – Balaji Bhoodevi, Subramnaya, Shiva Parvati, Radha Krishna, Durga and others – carved out from balk stone.
Sri Bhaktha Anjaneya Temple
The Sri Bhaktha Anjaneya Hindu Temple is a one-story building, including a main level (5,405 sq. ft.) and a basement (1,837 sq. ft.) totaling 7,242 sq. ft. Some interesting features on the exterior will be a granite entry, decorative columns and a stucco finish. There will also be extensive landscaping and water features on the property, which is about 42 acres. On the interior, there will be many aesthetically pleasing features, including Spanish cedar grand entry doors, granite floors, granite and acoustical wall panel walls in the prayer hall, 5 cast in place shrines, a commercial kitchen and radiant heat on all floors.
Temple is located at 4143 Ayodhya Way Ijamsville, MD. Amtrak Station is the nearest railway head present. Maryland Airport is the nearest airport present.
