The Orippurathu Bhagavathy temple is positioned in Thattayil, Pathanamthitta district in the state of Kerala, India. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali. The temple is the second largest Kettukazhacha in Kerala.

The sacred temple has a history that dates back to the 17th century. The sacred script in Arya Language on the stone in the temple also indicates that it is a thousand years old. According to records, the annual festival of the temple had been started during the 18th of century. According to Hindu mythology, Ezhankulam Bhagavathy is the sister of Goddess Orippurathu Bhagavathy. However, there is no proper evidence available about the history or origin of the temple yet it is believed that the sacred Hindu worship place was constructed by a famous Arya King.
The temple has an amazing architecture that shows the unique architecture of Indian style. In the main sanctum sanctorum, there are two divine idols. The architecture of the temple is the best example of the mixture of Thanjavur style and Kerala style of architecture. Moreover, the main sanctum sanctorum is a double storied structure built of Krishna sila and fully covered with eliminating brass sheets. Another important attraction of the temple is its stone pillars, decorated with attractive mythological sculptures.
The temple is open for devotees from 9.30 AM to 1.30 PM and from 4.30 PM to 7.30 PM.
Meena Bharani is the major festival celebrated in the temple. The festival lasts three days of the Malayalam month of Meenam. Other festivals in the temple include Saptaham and Navarathri
The presiding deity of the temple is goddess Bhagavathy. Other deities in the temple include Lord Ayyapan, Mother Yakshi, Lord Krishna, Lord Nagaraju and Lord Madaswamy.
