Rameshwar Mandir is a temple located in Revdanda, Maharashtra, India. It is a very ancient temple of Lord Shiva. The Chaul region is known for its temples. There are 365 temples in Chaul, equal to the number of days in a year. The date of construction is not known, but the temple has been renovated several times. In the front there is a large pond known as pokharan in Marathi. The Mandir has three tanks (called kund in Marathi): parjanya kund, agni kund, and wayu kund, representing three elements of nature—Rain, fire, and air.

The Rameshwar Mandir is an ancient temple, but its exact date of construction is not known. Records show that the temple has been renovated a number of times in history.
The Rameshwar Mandir features the exclusive Hemadpanthi style of architecture. As per historic records, the temple has been renovated a number of times. The temple is a wonderful place to spend some relaxing time and to meditate. The temple complex spreads over a huge piece of land and comprises of a large prayer hall and a sanctum sanctorum. The top of the temple has a dome reaching to a height of 7.62 meters.
There is a huge pond in front of the temple which is known as Pokhran in Marathi. There are also three tanks in the temple premises, the parjnya kund, agni kund and wayu kund. These tanks or kunds represent the three elements of nature namely rain, fire and air. The ambience of the temple and its surroundings are quite calm and serene.
By Road: The temple present in Revdanda. Revdanda is connected to the major cities of Mumbai and Pune by both road and railways. Many private buses ply from both Mumbai and Pune, usually leaving covering the distance overnight. We can reach the Temple easily by hiring bus or taxi from anywhere in the Maharashtra or from neighboring state. Maharashtra is connected with most of the Indian cities by road. The Maharashtra State Transport Corporation (MSTC) runs regulars bus services.
By Rail: The nearest station to the temple is Panvel Railway Station.
By Air: The Temple can be reached through nearest chatrapati shivaji international airport which is well connected with regular domestic flights to Delhi, Mumbai.
This temple Opening & Closing time is 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Maha Shivaratri is celebrated on a grand scale.
There are a number of shrines within easy reach of the Rameshwar Mandir. In Revdanda there is another temple the Datta Mandir. The Datta Mandir is located in the Chaul region of Revdanda and is built atop a hill. It is dedicated to “Datta” or the Lord worshipped by the Maharashtrian people. There are 1500 steps to climb to the temple and from here visitors can get a complete view of the entire Revdanda region.
In village the Shitala Devi Mandir is also a worth visiting shrine. The locals believe that goddess “Shitla” protects the village from all problems and calamities. Locals refer to the goddess as ‘AAI’.
