The Mithrananthapuram Trimurti temple is positioned in Pazhavangadi, in the West fort of the Thiruvananthapuram district in the state of Kerala, India. The temple is dedicated to the Trimurthis – Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Brahma. The temple is administered by the Travancore Devaswom Board.

According to the Purana, the temple was built in the 1168 AD.The legend says that Vilwamangalath Swamiyar consecrated the idols of the temple. It is also said that the Trimurthis performed a divine yagna, here, to the Sun God, Mithra and hence this temple is called as Mithrananthapuram which literally means the town which gave happiness to the Sun.
The temple is raised with the elements of Dravidian Architectural style. The path inside the temple’s complex leads to the three temples. First stands the Vishnu temple with the presence of Garuda statue outside. Next to the temple of Lord Vishnu stands the temple of Lord Shiva. Next to his temple is the temple of Lord Nagaraja, the King of Serpents. Near to that is the temple of Lord Brahma. Temples of Lord Brahma are very rare in the country. Usually Lord Brahma, who is imagined to be with four heads. But here the deity has only one head instead of four.
The temple is open for devotees from 4 AM to 11 PM and from 5 PM to 8.30 PM.
The major festivals celebrated in the temple are Ashtami Rohini for Lord Vishnu and Maha Shivarathri for Lord Shiva. Other festivals include Ganesh Chathurthi, Navarathri, and Pradosham.
The presiding deities of the temple are the three murtis – Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Brahma. Lord Brahma is in a sitting posture here. The deities are east facing. Other deities in the temple include Lord Ganesha and Lord Nagaraja.

Pazhavangadi is 2 kms from Sreevaraham. Buses, auto-rickshaws, and taxis are available almost all the time to reach the temple.
